Earth Day Waffles

Beautiful blue and green waffles for Earth Day. Make breakfast a reminder to appreciate the beauty of the world we live in with these fun and beautiful Earth Day Waffles.

Equipment

  • mini waffle maker

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Homemade or Purchased Bisquick
  • 1⅔ cups Buttermilk
  • 1 Egg
  • 2 tbsp. Vegetable Oil

Instructions

  • Preheat the mini waffle maker or regular waffle maker.
  • Mix together the purchased or Homemade Bisquick/baking mix, buttermilk, egg, and vegetable oil.
  • Mix with a hand mixer until smooth.
  • Split the mix into two bowls and color one bowl green and one bowl blue use plant-based, dye-free, all-natural colors. Click here to purchase. 
  • Add spoonfuls of green and blue batter to the mini waffle maker to create the earth and the seas waffle. Cook the waffle until done.
  • Serve 3 mini waffles with whipped cream, and a few blue and green fish sprinkles and stars.
  • Individually wrap the waffles in plastic wrap and put in a ziplock bag in the freezer. Remove as many waffles as you want for a meal. Pop them in the toaster for a quick and yummy morning meal.
