How Do I Make Honey N Spice Nuts?

Here is another of my SIS (simple is smart) recipes.

  1. Start with a non-stick skillet and melt the butter on medium heat.
  2. Add the honey, cinnamon, and salt.  Add anywhere from a pinch to 1/4 of a teaspoon of cayenne pepper.
  3. Stir to mix together and add the nuts.  Any type of nuts will work.  Walnuts and pecans are my favorites.
  4. Cook on medium heat until the mixture is a deep golden brown.
  5. Remove from the heat and spread them on a lightly greased cookie sheet.  Stir the nuts as they cool to keep them from sticking together.
  6. Store in an airtight container.  If the nuts get sticky from the humidity, they can be dried in the oven at 225-degrees F for 30 – 60 minutes.
